Participants will learn about the types, prevalence, neurology, strengths, impact, and accommodations for students with ADHD in the classroom

ADHD Part 2 is designed to provide teachers practical strategies to support students with Executive Functioning Deficits in their classroom. Participants will also learn strategies for partnering and communicating with parents of students with ADHD.

Dyslexia affects one in every five students on average. It is increasingly more important for teachers to learn what Dyslexia is and is not and how to create a learning environment that accommodates for students with Dyslexia. The course will outline the different types of Dyslexia and the impact those neurological differences can have in the classroom.

This course will highlight specific accommodations for students with Dyslexia. We will review structured literacy and Orton Gillingham approaches to supporting students with Dyslexia, as well as how to structure your classroom through a neurodiverse lens.

This course will take you through the strategies and intervention approaches for students with Down Syndrome. You will learn about Accommodations and Modifications, Goal Setting, and writing service plans to meet the needs of the students with Down Syndrome in your class. The course will resources available to support teachers and students with an emphasis on collaboration amongst parents and caregivers.

Understand exactly what accommodations and modifications are and the differences between the two. Dive deeply into specific accommodations and how to tie them into your instructional design.

This course is designed to help educators understand Dysgraphia and its impact on student learning. You will walk away with practical skills and accommodations to implement in your classroom to support students with Dysgraphia.
