Participants will learn about the types, prevalence, neurology, strengths, impact, and accommodations for students with ADHD in the classroom

ADHD Part 2 is designed to provide teachers practical strategies to support students with Executive Functioning Deficits in their classroom. Participants will also learn strategies for partnering and communicating with parents of students with ADHD.

Dyslexia affects one in every five students on average. It is increasingly more important for teachers to learn what Dyslexia is and is not and how to create a learning environment that accommodates for students with Dyslexia. The course will outline the different types of Dyslexia and the impact those neurological differences can have in the classroom.

This course will highlight specific accommodations for students with Dyslexia. We will review structured literacy and Orton Gillingham approaches to supporting students with Dyslexia, as well as how to structure your classroom through a neurodiverse lens.

Down Syndrome is a chromosomal condition that impacts various parts of a person's life. Students in this course will learn about the characteristics, strengths, challenges, and diagnosis of Down Syndrome in order to be best prepared to educate students with Down Syndrome in your class.
