Building on your understanding of ADHD, this course focuses on practical strategies that will help you guide your students toward academic and personal success. We’ll cover essential techniques for improving time management, working memory, and focus—skills that are often difficult for students with ADHD. You’ll learn how to use visual aids, mnemonics, and graphic organizers to support memory retention, as well as movement-based strategies like the Pomodoro Technique to increase focus. Additionally, we’ll discuss how to communicate effectively with ADHD students through clear expectations and feedback, ensuring they stay engaged and motivated in the classroom.

With a Masters in Special Education, Sue has been working with neurodiverse populations for the last 30 years in public, charter, and private schools.
