Participants will explore hands-on manipulatives through modeled examples that strengthen math reasoning, subitizing, and number sense, while reframing fluency as flexibility with number strategies rather than speed alone. Using the Concrete–Representational–Abstract (CRA) teaching approach, the course demonstrates how conceptual understanding supports efficient, accurate computation. Teachers will see classroom-ready strategies in action and gain practical tools to help students make sense of numbers, explain their thinking, and build fluency that transfers across contexts.
